Town of Springport 2021 Reassessment Project
When a municipality does a reassessment project, a key factor in determining appropriate values is to rely upon market sales. Here you will find a link to the Sales Book used for this project.
This book contains sales of properties the town assessor used to compare to other similar properties in the town as a basis for the new assessments.
NYS Office of Real Property Tax Services provides the assessor with trend analysis for sales that occur over a period of time to arrive at “Time Adjusted Sale Prices.” This allows the assessor to utilize sales from as far back as 5 years ago (7/1/2016) and trend them forward to arrive at the best estimate of the most likely selling price today.

Keep in mind that Preliminary Assessments are subject to change after informal meetings with the Assessor and may not be your final 2021 assessment.
