Go to the OTDA online portal to apply.

  • Applications will be accepted starting on June 1 at 9 am
    • Tip: Google Chrome browser preferred
    • Tip: Clear the browser's cache
  • Watch the video "Step-by-step walkthrough of the application and document upload process"
  • Review the document checklist and have the necessary documentation ready. 
  • Review Frequently Asked Questions for more details
  • Contact the Community Action Program (CAP) at 315-255-1703 x164 as soon as possible if you need assistance compiling documentation or accessing the online portal.

The Governor announced that applications will be accepted starting June 1. No web address for the online application portal has been released. If you need assistance compiling documentation or accessing the online portal once it's open, contact the Community Action Program (CAP) as soon as possible at 315- 255-1703, extension 164. More information is available on the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) website.

The NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) has released information about priority applications and documentation needed to apply. Application are not being accepted yet, but once the application process is opened up, the first 30 days of the program, priority will be given to certain populations. After the first 30 days, applications for all eligible households will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, as long as funds remain available.
