Sharp Health Care Products

Needles, syringes, lancets and other sharp health care products should never be recycled. They may be contaminated and pose a danger to recycling workers. They can also cause costly delays and equipment malfunctions during the recycling process.

Properly Disposing Sharp Products

  1. Place sharps in a puncture-proof container and cover with a tight-fitting lid
  2. Label the container with your name, address, and phone number
  3. Call one of the drop-off locations listed to arrange for someone to meet you

All hospitals and skilled nursing facilities are required by law to accept Properly Packaged and Labeled sharps at no Charge.
