The Cayuga County Online Mapping Website allows you to query, display, and print maps that include data from some of the most commonly used layers in the County's geographic information system.

Cayuga County ImageMate

Image Mate Online is Cayuga County’s commitment to provide the public with easy access to real property information. Cayuga County, with the cooperation of SDG, provides access to RPS data, tax maps, and photographic images of properties.

New York State Interactive Mapping Gateway

The Interactive Mapping Gateway is New York State's doorway to convenient access to digital aerial imagery of New York State. Through this application visitors can view and download imagery collected as part of the New York State Orthoimagery Program, including imagery covering all areas of Cayuga County

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Map Service Center

The Federal Emergency Management Agency Map Service Center website is the official government distribution center for digital and paper flood hazard mapping products created by FEMA in support of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Here you can view all current flood maps (Flood Insurance Rate Maps)

You can also create a FIRMette, which is a copy of these maps that will fit on an 8 ½ inches by 11 inches sheet of paper. FIRMettes have the same legal status as the normal size maps and can be used for all aspects of the NFIP, including floodplain management, flood insurance, and enforcement of mandatory flood insurance purchase requirements.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Coastal Services Center

Cayuga County has contributed its LIDAR-derived elevation data to the LIDAR data collection housed and distributed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Coastal Services Center. Access to the data is provided through the Center's interactive map. The elevation data for Cayuga County is available in a variety of formats, projections, datums, and units.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Environmental Resource Mapper

The Environmental Resource Mapper is an interactive mapping application that can be used to identify some of New York State's natural resources and environmental features that are state protected, or of conservation concern. 

These include:

  • Rare plants and animals
  • Significant natural communities
  • Streams
  • Wetlands

Web Soil Survey

The Web Soil Survey  operated by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides soil data and information produced by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. The site is updated and maintained as the single authoritative source of soil survey information. 

Use the Web Soil Survey to view or print a soil map and access data to help you determine the suitability of soils for a particular use

Cornell University Library's Digital Collection houses vertical aerial photographs of Cayuga County taken in:

  • 1938
  • 1954
  • 1963

New York State Historic Preservation Office GIS (Public Access)

The New York State Preservation Office‘s GIS access website provides data relating to State and National Registers of Historic Places in New York State as well as Archaeological Sensitivity Zones in New York State. The general information contained in the State and National Registers of Historic Places web page can provide an early indication of the presence or absence of listed historic properties in or near a project area. 

The likely need for an archeological survey of a project area can be ascertained by determining if the project is within a sensitive area on the Archeological Sensitivity Maps.
