The Town of Cato is located in Cayuga County and encompasses the Village of Cato, the Village of Meridian and the Town of Cato.
The Cato Town Board will hold its regular November monthly meeting on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 7:30 PM at the Town of Cato Municipal Building, Short Cut Rd, Cato, New York.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the preliminary budget of the Town of Cato, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2020, has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, 11320 Short Cut Road, Cato, New York where it is available for inspection by any interested person at all reasonable hours.
FURTHER NOTICE IS BE HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a Public Hearing thereon at the Town of Cato Municipal Building, 11320 Short Cut Road, Cato, New York at 7:30 PM on Thursday, the 7th day of November, 2019, and at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled, or for or against any item or items therein contained. Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified as follows:
Council member (total salary of four) $8,000.00
Town Clerk/Tax Collector $38,000.00
Town Highway Superintendent $44,500.00
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held before the Town Board of the Town of Cato, Cayuga County, New York at the Town of Cato Municipal Building at 11320 Short Cut Rd., Cato, New York, on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 7:30 pm for the purpose of considering contracting with the Village of Cato, Cato Fire Department, Inc. in the sum of $39,253.00 for District #1N, Village of Cato, Cato Fire Department, Inc. and the Ira Fire Department in the sum of $23,258.00 for District #2, and the Village of Weedsport, Weedsport Fire Department in the sum of $21,619.00 for District #3 for fire protection to be furnished by said villages and fire departments.
