The Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Program services children from birth to 21 years of age who are suspected of having or diagnosed with a physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional disability. This is a resource and referral program. This program provides information and assistance with referrals to insurance, health services, health homes, community resources, education, the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), and care coordination services to address identified needs. It also provides information on supports for families and upcoming meetings or training workshops offered by community organizations.
There is no cost to families that take advantage of these services as funding is provided by Cayuga County and the New York State Department of Health.
