1886 Through 1946
Following an enactment of law in 1886, all persons practicing veterinary medicine had to be certified by the state of New York. This book contains the names of people in the county who were or became practicing veterinarians at the time.
People with experience preceding the law were listed with an affidavit stating the number of years they had practiced. The newer veterinarians were required to list their credentials. The book may also include revocations of licenses.
