Cayuga County Health & Human Services has over 100 children in foster care that cannot safely remain in their parent’s care. There is a serious need for foster families to provide safe and loving homes for these children while family problems are resolved. Other children are in need of adoptive homes.
We are currently looking for foster parents for children of all ethnic backgrounds and ages. Our greatest need is to find foster families who will share their home with sibling groups, special needs children and youth (11-17 years).
Deciding to become a foster parent is a big decision and should not be taken lightly. Foster parents are extremely important in the treatment of our children and youth in foster care. In many cases, the bond formed with these children will be life long and your impact on them during this time is crucial to their development.
