Effective Feb. 16, 2021 Cayuga County Supreme Court Cases will be required to be commenced on the New York State Courts E-filing System, NYSCEF, for all case types but the exempt types below when filed by an attorney for a represented party. Unrepresented parties may continue to file paper cases or elect to use the e-filing system.

- CPLR Article 78 proceedings
- Election Law proceedings
- Matrimonial matters
- Mental Hygiene Law matters
- Appeal - New Index Number
- Substitute Jail Order
