Owasco Lake Watershed Management and Waterfront Revitalization Plan Implementation: Incorporation of the EPA Nine Key Elements
Cayuga County received a New York State Department of State grant to implement a high priority recommendation from the 2016 Owasco Lake Watershed Management and Waterfront Revitalization Plan, which is to incorporate the EPA's Nine Key Elements into the Plan. This project is led by the Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development and the consultant on the project is Ecologic LLC.
Public Meeting #2
A public meeting was held on September 27, 2021 to provide an update on the process to incorporate the EPA Nine Key Elements into the Owasco Lake Watershed Management and Waterfront Revitalization Plan. The public was able to review and comment on the Watershed Management Recommendations and Prioritization.

Public Meeting #1
On August 13, 2018, the first public participation/outreach meeting was held. Dr. Elizabeth Moran of Ecologic LLC. gave an update of the status of the project and Michele Wunderlich of the Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development facilitated the collection of public input on watershed conditions and issues.
