Lake Foam

During the fall of 2010, foam was reported on Owasco Lake. It has also been reported on Cayuga Lake in the past. The concern is that the foam is caused by detergents or other human caused activity. However, foam is often a natural activity.

The Cayuga Lake Watershed Network wrote a article on lake foam in their Summer 2007 Cayuga Lake Watershed Network News. This article can be viewed here.
