- Summer 2011 Asian Clam Survey: Funding from the Fred L. Emerson Foundation to hire Darrin Fresh Water Institute, Inner-Space Scientific Diving and Scientific Diving International to conduct an underwater survey of live Asian clams in Owasco Lake.

Owasco Lake Asian Clam Task Force Formation
On March 3, 2011, the Cayuga County WQMA formed the Owasco Lake Asian Clam Task Force. This group is meeting regularly to discuss the response to Asian clam in Owasco Lake.
