1939 REOUX BILL - Reduces the Justice Department from 4 to 2 Justices for the Town of Ledyard.
1968 JUNK YARD LAW - Qualifications to have a Junk Yard-fenced in area with a locked gate or a natural barrier. A set fee of $25.00 a year to have a Junk Yard License. There can be no more than two unlicensed vehicles on a property that is not specified as a Junk Yard. It also states that one can not have vehicles on the property for parts.

1975 Local Law #1 - Provides for prior written notice of any defective, unsafe, dangerous or obstructed condition of street, highways, bridges, culverts and drainage under the control of the Town of Ledyard. This was amended in 1995 - Local Law #2. This amendment specifies that the Highway Superintendent must notify the Town Clerk within five days of the complaint and then the Board must be notified within five days or at the next Board Meeting.
1976 Local Law #1 - This law regulates and licenses outdoor public musical entertainment, amusements and assemblies in excess of 1,000 persons; establishing licensing procedures and fees therefore, and prescribing offenses and penalties.

1984 Local Law #5 - FIRE PREVENTION CODE. States how properties within the Town of Ledyard should be maintained within the scope of the NYS Uniform Code. It also specifies notification to property owners and due process if not in compliance with the NYS Uniform Code. Failure to comply with any provision of the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, this local law, rules and regulations adopted pursuant to the local law, is a violation and shall be deemed a violation and the violator shall be liable for a fine of not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisonment not to exceed thirty days, or both, and each day such violations continue shall constitute a separate violation

2004 Local Law #1 - Establishing an Annual Local Fee for Issuance of Dog Licenses in the Town of Ledyard. (This law establishes a $2.00 local fee to be applyed to both spayed/neutered and unspayed/unneutered dogs. The funds are mandated to be used only for controlling dogs and enforcement to provisions of Article 7 of the Agriculture and Market Laws of New York State.)
