LOCAL LAW NO. 1 OF 2006

 

A LOCAL LAW TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING BOARD

 

Be it enacted by the Village board of the Village of Moravia, New York as follows:

 

Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Local Law is to decrease the number of members of the Planning Board of the Village of Moravia, New York to five.

 

A.     In accordance with 7-718, subdivision 7 of the Village Law of the State of New York, the number of members of the Planning Board of the Village of Moravia, New York, is hereby decreased to five members.

 

B.     In accordance with 7-718, subdivision 7, of the Village Law of the State of New York, the reduction in membership of the said Planning Board to five shall take effect immediately since there presently exists two expired terms of two vacancies on the said Planning Board.

 

C.     At the expiration of the term of each member of this said Planning Board, his or her successor shall be appointed for a term which shall be five years, in accordance with 7-718, subdivision 4, of the Village Law of the State of New York.

 

D.     This local law shall take effect immediately upon its filing in the office of the Secretary of State.
