Admissions

All admissions to Cayuga County Nursing Home are handled by our Social Work Staff.  Our staff is here to help you understand, review, and assess the application process and are available to answer any questions you may have.  A required assessment,  Patient Review Instrument or PRI, must be completed prior to admission.  The Patient Review Instrument is a tool that will describe the condition as well as the necessary treatment of the applicant.  The PRI is only completed by nursing staff that is certified to conduct this assessment and will be completed at the place the applicant is currently residing, whether it be in the hospital or in the home.  The PRI can be arranged through the Cayuga County Long Term Care Office.

Qualifying individuals should:

  • Need the services of a skilled nursing facility.
  • Have their care ordered by a physician.
  • Need assistance with daily living activities such as eating, walking, or getting to the bathroom.

Cayuga County Nursing Home accepts payment methods such as Medicare, private insurance, private funding, and Medicaid.  Our Social Work Staff will answer any financial related questions and discuss your situation as methods can vary with individuals and their health coverage.
