The Historic Mentz Church is nestled In the rural countryside of the Town of Montezuma, NY. The gable-roofed, one-room church was erected by the early settlers of the area prior to its incorporation as a First Methodist Episcopal Church which then was in the Town of Mentz.

In 2003 the Town of Montezuma acquired the Historic Mentz Church and is committed to the following mission:

The Historic Mentz Church in the Town of Montezuma is being preserved to foster its Historic significance and to be used for the enrichment of the community through cultural, social and local church activities.
