Vision Planning asks a community to look beyond its current condition and to imagine its desired future. A vision is a reflection of the community’s underlying shared values, available resources and perceived opportunities. Having a vision is important because it helps your community manage and respond to change, now and in the future. Cayuga County Department of Planning and Development worked with the Town of Ledyard to develop its Vision Statement over the course of six months, during the first half of 2004.
