Absent from the meeting were Planning Board members, Ken Furness and Anne Mendenhall.

There was further discussion of the nature of a subdivision law that we might suggest to the Town of Ledyard Board. Perhaps the aspect upon which it is most difficult to reach consensus is the possibility of exempting from Planning Board review the division of one parcel into two parcels and the division of land into parcels much larger than required for individual residential lots.
The consensus seemed to be leaning toward not making any exceptions, but to leave the question somewhat open until the Chairman finds out if it is permissible to completely omit a public hearing for a simple subdivision of one of these types and until all members of the Planning Board are present.
The Chairman will look into the possibility of our Planning Board and the Ira Planning Board conferring by telephone to give us an idea of how Ira's subdivision law is working.
It was decided to have another special meeting on March 24th.
