Ledyard Supervisor, Bill Dugan cooked and served a fabulous meal for the Town members.
The objective of the meeting was to get the Towns involved to start thinking about ways the municipalities might consolidate efforts to save on town government expenses.
After the meal Bill introduced Steve Cuddeback, Cayuga County Legislator, who discussed how Cayuga County could save money by bidding out the county road snow plowing to the towns or the private sector.
There was little discussion.
Bill Dugan asked all of the other Town Board members and Supervisors to come to the next meeting with specific ideas for saving costs to be considered. Another meeting was set for July 29th, 2004. The Town of Genoa will host the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Rose Marie Belforti,
Town of Ledyard Clerk
