The meeting was called to order at 9:30 am.

APPROVE MINUTES: On motion by Lynn Odell, seconded by Jim Frisch, the Minutes for December 2007 were approved as submitted.

2008 REVALUATION: Ledyard Assessor, Heather Garner introduced herself to the Town Board. She outlined her process for doing a Revaluation of property in the Town of Ledyard in 2008. She will place an ad in the Citizen and in the Penny Saver informing residents that either she or her husband will be out in the town collecting data on all properties in the next few months. Heather plans to have an information session for residents this coming summer of 2008.

RESOLUTION TO PASS LOCAL LAW #2: PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION & ENFORCEMENT OF THE NYS UNIFORM FIRE PREVENTION & BUILDING CODE: Ledyard Code Enforcer, Brian Hicks answered questions from the Town Board regarding the updated Uniform Fire Prevention & Building Code. On motion by Mark Jordan, seconded by Jim Frisch, the Town Board passed Local Law #2 of 2007, The new revised New York State Uniform Fire Prevention & Building Code, that gives the Ledyard Code Enforcement Officer authority to enforce the law.

TRANSFERS: On motion by Mark Jordan, seconded by John Binns, the following fund transfers were approved:

In General Fund A:
Transfer $100.00 from Contingency Account A1990.4 to Municipal Court Contractual A1110.4
In General Fund B:
Transfer $1,278.75 from Code Enforcement Contractual B3620.4 to Code Enforcement Equipment B3620.2
Highway Part Town Fund DB:
Transfer $12,301.49 from Machinery Contractual DB5130.4 to Insurance Contractual DB5130.41
Transfer $1,716.44 from Machinery Personal Services DB5130.1 to Brush Personal Services DB5140.1
Transfer $324.75 from General Repairs Contractual DB5110.4 to Brush Contractual DB5140.4

COMMENTS FROM LYNN ODELL: Councilman Lynn Odell said he appreciates the opportunity to have served on the Ledyard Town Board. He also appreciates the Town Boards conservative viewpoint. He said that going forward next year, the Board should reconsider health insurance options for employees. There may be lower cost policies with better coverage that should be reviewed. He advised the Board to look into this matter during the summer of 2008. Supervisor Mark Jordan informed the Town Board that the 2004 IH plow truck loan will be paid in full in January, 2008 in the amount of $42,781.61. Jim Bailey, Highway Superintendent informed the Town Board that the copy machine in the Town Hall has been repaired several times but still is not working correctly.

PAY BILLS: On motion by Jim Frisch, seconded by John Binns, the bills on abstract #013, #302-322, General Fund A=$2,935.98; B=$16.55; DA=$0; DB=$11,410.86 were approved for payment.
