Owasco Chapter of Genesee Council District VII, NSDAR sponsored a monument rededication and marker placement for Revolutionary War Patriot Edward Robinson.  The ceremony was on Saturday, October 1st, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sherwood/Phelps Cemetery in Cayuga County on State Route 34B in Sherwood NY. A Reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Scipioville Presbyterian Church, also on Route 34B.

Edward Robinson was a Drummer and then a Private in the 7th Massachusetts. He settled in Cayuga County about 1800 with his wife Eunice Rix. Both are buried in the Sherwood/Phelps Cemetery.

Robinson family descendants attended from Illinois, Michigan and Massachusetts. A color guard, twenty-one gun salute and the playing of "Taps" was provided by the American Legion Post 1107 of Union Springs, NY.

Several members of the Owasco Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution attended. Among them were:
