It's not only the fall and winter season it is also the dreadful cold & flu season.

In the United States, the flu season can range from November to as late as May.  Each year it is recommended that the very young, the elderly, and the sick get the influenza (flu) vaccination.  It is recommended for these groups because they are considered high risk, which means their immune systems are weakened and they have a greater chance of getting sick.

You may also opt to get the flu shot which will also decrease your risk of getting the flu.  Cayuga County offers several public flu clinics.  To view a listing of public flu clinics, click here.  You may also call 253-1157 to get a current schedule of flu clinics offered by Cayuga County Department of the Health.
