Temporary Residences Includes the following:

  • Agricultural Fairgrounds
  • Campgrounds
  • Children's Camps
  • Hotels
  • Mass Gatherings
  • Migrant Labor Camps
  • Motels

This program’s goal is to prevent environmental illnesses and injuries in temporary residences by enforcement of Subpart 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, and 7-5 of the New York State Sanitary Code.

This program provides services in the following areas:

  • Inspects and issues permits for children’s day and overnight camps, hotels & motels, campgrounds, migrant labor camps, mass gatherings, and agricultural fairgrounds. 
     
  • Enforces New York State Sanitary Code Subpart 7-1 (Temporary Residences and Mass Gatherings), Subpart 7-2 (Children’s Camps), Subpart 7-3 (Campgrounds), Subpart 7-5 (Agricultural Fairgrounds), and Part 15, Migrant Farm Worker Housing.
