To help guide you to having a healthy baby
throughout your pregnancy and delivery.

What is the MOMS program all about? |
| MOMS is a
program for Medicaid eligible pregnant women who are seeking medical care. This
program provides pre- and postpartum nursing and education on
pregnancy, nutrition, labor, delivery, baby care, infant growth and
development, breastfeeding, exercise and other topics for new
mothers and infants. Also offered are pregnancy testing, HIV
education and pre- and post-test counseling.

What does the MOMS program have to offer for

No cost pregnancy tests to confirm your
pregnancy

Assistance with finding the right doctor for
you and your baby
(MOMS works with most area
doctors who deliver babies.)

Assistance in joining the WIC program

Assistance in determining Medicaid
eligibility

Assistance in finding and signing up for
specialized classes, such as
Childbirth Classes

Answers to all of your questions with the
support of a MOMS nurse

At the end of your appointment, you will: |

Be assigned a MOMS nurse

Have WIC benefits with your first checks

Have Medicaid coverage (if you meet Medicaid
eligibility guidelines)

Have a doctor/midwife appointment

All the information you will need to give
yourself and your baby the best start possible

appointments will be held in the Auburn WIC Office at 157 Genesee Street in
the Historic Post Office. |
