Radio Project Status

July 2008: Cayuga County contracted with Langone & Associates in July 2008 to design a new countywide Emergency Communications Radio System.
April 2009: The Cayuga County Legislature approved for Langone and Associates to complete a Request for Proposal to for a P25 UHF Countywide Trunked Radio System.
Oct/Nov 2009: Motorola was the only vendor who responded with a coverage proposal
Next meeting: Monday, December 14, 2009 @ 6:30 pm - Meeting to discuss the Emergency Communications System Project, BOCES Campus, Genesee Street, Auburn, NY.
January 31, 2010: Special Meeting of the Legislators held to review the Emergency Communications project
June 30, 2010: Cayuga County signs contract with Motorola for a new UHF Trunked Radio Network
June 30, 2010: Bond Resolution passed in the amount of $17,022,383.00 for the purchase and construction of a new Emergency Communications System
July 12, 2010: Performance Specification Document (PSD) released for the Microwave component of the New Emergency Communications System
July 27, 2010: C&S Companies was hired for Project Management Services for the Radio Communications Project
