  2. Finger Lakes Recycling at 2810 Trombley Road in Weedsport will accept non-freon metal appliance, computers, televisions and electronics for free . Contact Finger Lakes Recycling at 315-834-6212 or 315-406-5601.

  3. Regional Computer Recycling and Recovery (RCRR) from Victor, NY has a network of e-waste Recycling Alliance Partners. Their Alliance partners operate sites to conveniently collect electronics from the public. The RCRR website lists partners by county and shows sites in Cayuga County to recycle electronics.   4. The New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act created a new electronics recycling and takeback program in New York. The new law will provide free and convenient recycling of electronic waste to household consumers in the state. Beginning April 1, 2011, manufacturers of covered electronic equipment are required to take back from consumers a wide range of electronic waste. Visit the manufacturer's public education website of the covered electronic equipment you are looking to recycle. Information on how to do this is on the New York State Department of Environmental website at www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/66872.html and a link to each registered manufacturer's website and toll-free telephone number can be found at http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/materials_minerals_pdf/regceemfrs.pdf (PDF) (98 kb). Computer Recycling for Businesses, Municipalities and Schools

We have contracted with Regional Computer Recycling and Recovery (RCRR) for our past collection events. You can contact them and arrange for pick-up at your facility. They charge a pick-up fee, so it may be beneficial for you to collaborate with other businesses so you can share the fee. Call to see if a business is scheduling a pick-up near you.
