Thank You Cayuga County Residents!

Recycling this electronic equipment captures lead and other potentially toxic components for reuse, as well as steel, aluminum, copper and plastics. Monitor glass and TV picture tubes contain lead and by collecting them, a significant amount of lead has been removed from our environment.

2010 events were sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County, Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development, the Soil and Water Conservation District and the Town of Scipio. Funding was provided by the Cayuga County Legislature, NUCOR Steel of Auburn, Inc., New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and fees collected from the public.
