The Cayuga County Agriculture & Farmland Protection Plan was adopted by the County Legislature on August 26, 2014. The plan was approved by the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets on November 7, 2014.

Ag Plan Implementation Status Reports

The Cayuga County Agriculture & Farmland Protection Board (AFPB) has been tasked with preparing an annual report that summarizes the current status of implementation of the Countywide Agriculture & Farmland Protection Plan. These reports are prepared with the assistance of all of the County's partner agencies that are involved in the implementation of the ag plan including: Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County, Cayuga County Health Department, Cayuga County Department of Planning & Economic Development, Cayuga Economic Development Agency, Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, Cayuga County Office of Tourism, Cayuga County Farm Bureau, Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty, and the Cayuga County Soil & Water Conservation District.
