The Cayuga County Health Department is required to test the skills and roles of employees by hosting an Emergency Preparedness Drill called Medical Counter Measure (MCM).
In the event of a public health emergency, the Health Department would be required to open Points of Dispensing (PODs) and offer vaccines or medications to the public.
To be prepared should a real-life emergency occur, we are going to test our abilities to dispense medications to the public on Tuesday August 18, 2015 at the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES from 1pm - 3pm.
We are required to dispense antibiotic medications to over 500 individuals within a two hour time period.
Help us meet our goal, by participating in our drill! All you need to do is register for an appointment and come out to BOCES.
We are offering raffle prizes to participants of the drill.
Transportation will be provided to and from this drill. Buses will depart from the Historic Post Office located at 157 Genesee St., Auburn and bring participants to Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES. The first bus will pick up at 12:30 and will run every 15 minutes, with the last pick up for the drill will be at 2:30pm. The last departure from BOCES back to the Historic Post Office will leave at 3pm.
