The Cayuga County Health Department received grant funding which has allowed us to provide some updated promotion for some services we offer to the community.
A 30 second commercial will be shown THIS WEEK 7/1/-7/5/19 on the Central New York NBC station as part of the “Our Town” week focused on Auburn and Cayuga County. The commercial focuses on the positive impact the Nurse Family Partnership had with a participant from our community. The trusted relationship between a nurse and mother creates protective factors for mom and baby against the societal challenges that contribute to stress, and adverse pregnancy outcomes. These programs empower moms to demand a better future for themselves and their children despite their individual challenges, and achieving goals that they may not have thought to be attainable.
You will also see posters, bus shelter wraps and side of bus ads that reiterate this message and provide the Cayuga County Health Dept. contact number. (315-253-1560)
The goal of the Healthy Mom…. Healthy Baby…Healthy Community Campaign is to encourage and engage our community in an effort to help make our neighbors aware of the key programs and services that the Cayuga County Health Department offers women who are pregnant. There are numerous programs that support pregnant women, infants and families including Nurse Family Partnership and Women, Infant and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC) within the Cayuga County Health Department. One call to us can connect you with a nurse who can provide information on the many resources available.
The changes created by this campaign are an investment in the future of our children, families and communities.
Our Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby, Healthy Community Vision is to assist young mothers in having the healthiest pregnancy by supporting the family in reaching goals and making informed health care choices.
The Cayuga County Health Department is your constant resource for services and information throughout pregnancy and following the birth, into early childhood and beyond.
