OCR Second Public Hearing

                The Village of Fair Haven was awarded fiscal year 2017 funds under the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. For an Imminent Threat project. CDBG funds in the amount of $400,000 were provided to the Village for essential repairs to public infrastructure impacted by flooding along Lake Ontario; specifically, CDBG funds were used to repair and immediate flooding at the Cottage Street Access site.


                Pursuant to 24 CFR 570.486, the Village of Fair Haven is required to hold a public hearing during the grant implementation period to provide details with respect to each Program and program progress, to solicit comments with respect to funded activities and program administration, and to answer questions with respect to the CDBG Programs or grant activities. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the Village of Fair Haven, James Basile, Mayor, Village of Fair Haven, 14523 Cayuga Street, PO Box 614, Fair Haven, NY 13064. 


The hearing is scheduled for Monday, October 10, 2022, following closure of a public hearing to be held at 7 P.M.  The hearings will be held at the Village Office, 14523 Cayuga Street, Fair Haven and or via Zoom  Meeting ID: 861 4110 9127;Passcode: 626060.


The venue is handicapped accessible. Any persons or groups needing special accommodations should contact the Village at least one week prior to the meeting at 315-947-5112.  Thoma Development Consultants was retained by the Village to administer the grant pursuant to a request for proposal (RFP) process.  They can be reached at 315-947-5112.


The CDBG program is funded under Title I of the Housing and Community Act of 1974, as amended. The federal government, pursuant to Title I, provided fiscal year 2017 funds to New York State for award and administration.
