Home Delivered Meals

PLEASE NOTE:   We are still accepting referrals for our Home Delivered Meals Program, however there is a waiting list for all routes.

Our Senior Nutrition Program delivers low cost, hot and nutritionally sound weekday meals to those Cayuga County residents who cannot come to the meal sites. This service helps the older adults of Cayuga County to stay in their own homes.

Meals have no extra salt added and a reduced sugar diet is available upon request. This program promotes better health through improved nutrition.

Registration

For information on the program and to register,  call the Office for the Aging Senior Nutrition Program at 315-253-1550.  An in-home assessment by one of our staff is required for all home delivered meal recipients to determine eligibility. Recipients must need assistance in 1 or more Activities of Daily Living in order to qualify.

Meal Contributions

Meal recipients are asked to make a contribution to help defray the costs of the meals. Contributions are important to us as they allow this needed service to continue. For those persons of 60 years or older, there is a suggested contribution of $3.50 for each meal, but no one is denied a meal because of their inability to contribute. Home delivered meal recipients are able to send contributions monthly. We accept CASH, SNAP, CHECK, or CREDIT

Our address is:

Contributions can now be made to the Senior Nutrition Program via the following link: www.govpaynow.com/gps/user/cyg/plc/a0030k .  There is a very small service charge for making an online contribution and the donor will need to specify ‘Cayuga County Senior Nutrition Program’ or ‘Cayuga County Meals on Wheels’ in the payment description. If you have any questions about this please reach out to us at 315-253-1550.

You can also make a contribution to Senior Nutrition on behalf of a loved one. Use form below.
