Mission Statement
The Cayuga County Water and Sewer Authority's mission is to provide Cayuga County with quality water and sewer services. The authority wishes to be customer focused and driven by the needs of the people and municipalities of Cayuga County. The Authority's goal is to provide these services at a reasonable cost. The Authority also wishes to protect local resources and the environment.
Membership Opportunities
Positions on the Board of Directors for the CCWSA become available periodically and we are always interested in individuals who are willing to serve. We seek members who come from all geographic areas of Cayuga County and who are willing to make a commitment to attend a monthly Board meeting and periodic subcommittee meetings, and who will actively engage and participate in the business of the Authority. The Board seeks to maintain a diverse cross-section of individuals with various areas of experience and expertise. Candidates do not have to have a water or sewer background to be considered.
The CCWSA is governed by a nine-member board appointed by the Cayuga County Legislature based upon recommendations from the CCWSA Board of Directors. Board members are typically appointed for three-year terms unless filling a position that has been vacated in mid-term. Board members serve without compensation.
If you are interested in being notified of future opportunities please contact Karl Rindfleisch, Director, at CCWSA or send a letter of interest with your resume.
